dinosrawr: prettybooks: Is anyone else taking part in the 50 book challenge in 2011? I started my second challenge July 2010 so I’ll be halfway through, but the new year is a great time to begin, if you haven’t already.The aim is simply to read 50 books over 12 months. This could be academic books, fiction, non-fiction, rereads, whatever! You don’t even have to read 50 - you could set yourself a target of 25 if you’re busy, or 100 if you’re a quick reader. The main point of it is that it is meant to be fun.  I know a lot of people are anti this sort of thing but it’s not about reading as many books as you can without reflecting on them. I personally like to write a short review afterwards. It is also a great way to encourage yourself to read more. Plus, you get to make a list and who doesn’t like writing lists?   I wonder if the book I’m in the middle of counts if I want to start now?
